Gourmet on the Rio Grande

Imagine three-days rafting through the spectacular canyons of the Rio Grande in Big Bend National Park with the best food you’ve ever eaten.

Marinated shrimp, veal, rack of lamb, quail, Beef Wellington, and duck make up the menu. Francois Maeder of Crumpets Restaurant, one of Texas' foremost practitioners of Nouvelle Cuisine, serves up imaginative and unexpected combinations of ingredients with color and flair.

As featured in Southern Living, Bon Appetite and Texas Monthly, you’ll dine in comfortable chairs at linen covered tables, eat from china and drink fine wine out of glass stemware. On most trips, live music around the campfire is served along with dessert, brandy, and coffee. Anyone who thinks camping out means roughing it is in for a big surprise!
